Quantum Break was the first Xbox one exclusive developed by Remedy Games and produced by Microsoft Studios.In a blog post Remedy Games explained Quantum Break as :
Quantum Break blurs the line between television and gameplay, integrating the two into one seamless, uniquely immersive experience. Quantum Break weaves the cinematic action of intense gameplay with the tension and drama of scripted television, creating a world where each has a direct impact on the other.
A teaser trailer was released which show cinematic sequences are seemingly mixed with the gameplay and the player can control time if situation demands.
